A very rare bronze Sextans of Venusia, a Greek colony in Southern Italy. The reverse has a wonderful depiction of a Little Owl (Athene noctua), very similar in style to the owl on the famous tetradrachms of Athens. A highly desirable coin with an attractive green and brown patina.
